Material Selection

OPERATIONAL DISCIPLINE

Why everyday material decisions matter.

For furniture manufacturers, fit-out contractors, and industrial packaging buyers, material stewardship begins with specifying the right panel grade the first time, cutting sheets with minimal waste, and matching substrate properties to the operating environment.

We separate our current operational practices on the factory floor from the longer-term documentation and efficiency improvements we are working toward as the company grows.

CURRENT OPERATIONAL PRACTICES

What we do today in sourcing, production and documentation.

Five day-to-day practices across our manufacturing operations and commercial desk.

  1. 01

    Material sourcing & supplier documentation

We review supplier documentation for incoming timber, veneer and resin inputs and maintain batch records linking raw materials to production runs.

  2. 02

Yield discipline & process residue handling

We match panel specifications to the intended application before production to reduce downstream rejection, and we segregate edge-trim offcuts and sanding residues on the factory floor.

  3. 03

Workplace health, machine guarding & training

Our factory operations enforce machine guarding, dust-management routines, personal protective equipment (PPE) use and defined supervisor responsibilities across pressing, trimming and handling.

  4. 04

    Grade-specific product & moisture guidance

We tie dimensional, grade and moisture-resistance descriptions to the exact product being supplied—such as clearly distinguishing MR packaging-grade plywood from waterproof grades.

FUTURE AMBITIONS

Planned operational and documentation improvements.

As NEOM Panels expands its manufacturing and brand operations, we are working toward the following improvements rather than making broad environmental claims prematurely.

Structured energy and water tracking

Establish consistent per-batch monitoring of thermal press energy, electrical load and facility water consumption to guide future equipment and process upgrades.

Secondary waste & pallet protection optimisation

Evaluate reusable dunnage and optimised pallet wrapping formats that protect finished sheets during domestic transit while reducing disposable packaging waste.

Period-scoped operational disclosures

Publish dated, period-scoped resource and safety summaries once multi-quarter factory measurement baselines are formally verified.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Operational activities linked to UN SDGs.

Our factory and commercial practices connect to three United Nations Sustainable Development Goals relevant to wood-panel manufacturing.
